Description: Festival in honor of the 1935 Colonists who started a farming community. Events include craft fairs, carnival, horse-drawn wagon rides, landscaper’s market, kids games, bike rally, parade, and live entertainment. This years theme is "Diggin' The Valley". produce. The Market is open Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday, the local EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) chapter
is holding their annual Pancake Breakfast and Young Eagles Rally.

For those unfamiliar with the Young Eagles program, local pilots give free flights to children (ages 8-17)
Flights start at 10:00am, breakfast is from 8:00 to 10:00.
Breakfast consists of all you can eat pancakes, sausage and bacon.
Cost is $5.00 per adult,
$2.50 for children 6 to 12
children under 6 are free,
maximum of $15.00 per family.
Location is the CAP hangar, Fairbanks International Airport East ramp (South of Mitchell on University Ave.)

Volunteer Planting Event UAF May 31st Wednesday

The 12th annual flower planting is set for 9 a.m. to noon.
Sponsored by the College of Fellows, the event draws on the talents of local gardeners to transform the campus for the summer with thousands of flower transplants.

To participate, just show up at Constitution Hall Wednesday morning and sign in.
If you have gardening tools, bring them. If not, there will be trowels available for the dirty work. Flowers and refreshments will be provided.

The College of Fellows asks that you use the parking lot across from the Patty Center and ride the shuttle bus to Constitution Hall for planting assignments.
