Anchorage field programs
A partnership with the National Park Service, Alaska State Parks, and the Anchorage Ski Club
12 noon Wednesdays as noted throughout the summer.
Hikes last 1 -1.5 hours
Where: Arctic Valley Alpenglow Ski Area in Chugach State Park, 30 minutes from downtown Anchorage
Directions: Go north on the Glenn Highway. Exit at Arctic Valley. The road winds past the golf course and into the
mountains to the ski area. (1 mile paved, 6 miles gravel)
Hikes begin at the fee kiosk in the upper parking lot. Limited to 25 hikers. A $5.00
parking fee supports the Anchorage Ski Club.
Dress for all weather and wear proper foot gear.
