University Lake – Nesting waterfowl and songbirds- ANCHORAGE
University Lake is an ideal location to observe nesting red-necked grebes. In addition to grebes, waterfowl, gulls, and a variety of songbirds can be observed from the flat, easy trail around the lake. Common and Pacific loons have been observed on University Lake. Meet at the small unpaved parking area on the east side of Bragaw, across from the UAA dorms between Providence and Tudor.
Trip leader will be Anchorage Audubon member Dianne Toebe - 337-0328.
