BEST BACKYARD HOCKEY RINK CONTEST
ICE RINKS: With perfect weather on hand for ice construction, the Fairbanks Hockey Hall of Fame is sponsoring a competition to select the best backyard hockey rink in town.
There are no strict rules, but the judges, who will visit all of the nominees Jan. 15-18, say “We’ll know the winner when we see it.”
The winner is to be honored during the Jan. 20 UAF game against Michigan.

The prize is to be announced at a later date.
