ABO’s popular “Owls of Alaska” a free Flint Hills Resources “Family Fun with Birds” program is coming up on Saturday, September 16th from 1-3 PM at the ABO Center for Education & Research.
Learn all about Alaska’s owls through activities, crafts, displays, and meet live owls! Because this program has been so popular in the past, they're offering a “Members Only” hour from noon-1 PM to ABO members.
Live owls will be available for viewing during both the “members only” and the public program time. All owl merchandise will be on sale in our gift shop.

The 9th annual Sandhill Crane Festival will take place on August 25-27th. The keynote guest this year will be Michael Forsberg, photographer and author of "On Ancient Wings: The Sandhill Cranes of North America." The festival will include a weekend of activities starting with a reception and a slide show on the Creamer's barn, continuing with walks, watches, and talks for all ages including an evening lecture by Mr. Forsberg and concluding with a Tex-Mex dinner celebration at the Refuge amongst the cranes.
