Kids Day
Annually incorporated into the National Veterans Wheelchair Games, Kids Day provides local youth an introduction to the world of adaptive sports and recreation, along with the chance to mingle with courageous athletes competing in the 2006 Games.
Alaska kids and their families, including those with physical disabilities, are encouraged to attend this unique event.
Kids Day, 10:30 a.m.
This year, Alaskan kids, with physical and developmental disabilities, are encouraged to attend this unique event. The day includes an introduction to wheelchair sports and several interactive activities guided by the athletes, followed by a special closing ceremony complete with Kids Day medals for the participating children.
