Tour Poker Flat Research Range.
Poker Flat Research Range (PFRR) is the only non-federal, university owned and operated range in the world and the only high-latitude, auroral-zone rocket launching facility in the U.S.
The tour is 1:30-3 p.m. Thurs., June 29, and you'll learn about aurora and atmospheric research and the process of launching rockets. hal@gi.alaska.edu
Participants should meet at the Range, located at 30 mile Steese Highway at 1:30 p.m. Look for the rocket on the right-hand side of the Steese Highway.
Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more.
