Hot Licks Ice Cream (College Road) and Fun Time Park (playground behind Radio Shack)
Bike on Farmers Loop Bike Path (good place to park is at Ballaine Lake parking lot)
Drive to Denali National Park (about 2 hours)
The visitor's center is open - they have a fun Junior Ranger program.
Drive your own vehicle to Mile 15 Savage River for a 2 mile (flat) trail hike. Trailhead is at parking lot, with picnic tables and bathrooms.

Another great Sunday activity for families with dogs or just for kids that love pets—the Fairbanks Dog Park.
Take the dog to this fence park where dogs run and socialize. On a sunny Sunday you might find anywhere from 3 to 23 dogs and their owners at play.
Children willing to throw a ball or give the dogs a good scratch are always a hit—just practice good dog-safety by checking with the dog's owner first.
