5/29/2006 11 a.m. The National Fallen Heroes Foundation are having their first annual Memorial Day celebration 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Mon, May 29. The celebration is at the Alaska Salmon Bake in Pioneer Park (corner of Airport Way and Peger Rd.). Thirteen local museums are holding free open houses on Museums Day 2006, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sat., May 27.
Thirteen museums will be open free between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Go to any museum and pickup a map to the other locations downtown, UAF, Creamer's Field, or Pioneer Park. Quiz, refreshments, family fun during this 8th annual event sponsored by the Tanana-Yukon Historical Society. 455-8947
